Precision facial restoration
Eyebrow Transplant UK
Surgeon-led eyebrow restoration for shape, density, and symmetry — planned hair-by-hair with natural growth direction, assessed at a free consultation.
In brief
An eyebrow transplant places individual hair grafts into the brow to restore or refine shape and density. Hairs must be angled to follow natural growth — outward and slightly upward from the ridge. It is one of the most detail-sensitive forms of facial hair restoration. Suitability and design are decided in consultation with a GMC-registered surgeon.
What is an eyebrow transplant?
Eyebrow restoration uses the same core principle as FUE: follicles are taken from a suitable donor area (often the scalp) and implanted into the brow. Because eyebrows frame the face, millimetre-level placement matters more than in almost any other cosmetic hair procedure.
At HTC, procedures are surgeon-led — one surgeon, one patient — with planning overseen by our clinical team including Dr M Husnain (GMC 8023362).
Who may consider eyebrow restoration?
Patients often attend for:
- Thinning or absent brows from over-plucking or long-term styling
- Scarring after injury, surgery, or inflammatory skin conditions
- Asymmetry where one brow is noticeably weaker
- Desire for a fuller arch or extended tail — within anatomical limits
- Restoration after medical hair loss where brows are affected
Some causes of brow loss are medical rather than surgical — we may recommend investigation or non-surgical options first. We will not recommend surgery when it is unlikely to meet your goals safely.
Why growth direction matters
Eyebrow hairs emerge at precise angles that change across the brow: the head near the nose, the arch, and the tail each behave differently. Grafts placed straight or too deep can look brushed-on rather than natural.
The procedure at HTC
After design approval, the brow area is prepared under local anaesthetic. Grafts are extracted and implanted one by one. Session time depends on the number of hairs required and whether one or both brows are treated.
We do not publish graft counts or prices online. Eyebrow work is quoted after assessment because design complexity varies significantly between patients.
Recovery and aftercare
Expect redness and fine crusting around grafts in the first days. Touching, makeup, and certain skincare products are restricted during early healing — your written aftercare plan covers this.
HTC provides 12 months aftercare with review appointments. Transplanted hairs may shed before regrowth; final appearance develops over several months.
Honest expectations
- Scalp donor hair may be slightly finer or grow longer than native brow hair — trimming may be needed
- Density targets must match donor supply — very thick brows are not always achievable
- Perfect symmetry is a goal, not a guarantee — human faces are naturally asymmetric
- A second refinement session is sometimes discussed for complex cases
Frequently asked questions
How much does an eyebrow transplant cost in the UK?
Pricing is personalised after consultation at HTC. Cost reflects whether one or both brows are treated and the complexity of design.
Is eyebrow transplant permanent?
Transplanted follicles are generally long-lasting once established. Ongoing trimming and brow grooming may still be part of maintenance.
Can eyebrow transplant fix over-plucked brows?
Often yes — this is a common reason for consultation. Whether enough density can be restored depends on donor hair and skin condition.
Will the hair look natural?
Natural results depend on surgical skill, angle of placement, and choosing a conservative density. Design is discussed in detail before treatment.
How long is recovery?
Most patients return to desk-based work within a few days, with visible healing signs reducing over one to two weeks. Your surgeon will advise based on your procedure.
